The Vegan Society supports and facilitates a vegan lifestyle and plant-based eating by creating a vibrant, visible and influential community, and by providing resources and information. Whilst campaigning primarily for veganism and animals, we reject all forms of discrimination and oppression towards our fellow humans.

Eating vegan reduces your carbon footprint greatly. A plant based diet requires far less water and far less land than a diet heavy in animal products.

We don't need animal products to survive and be healthy, strong and fit, so is it right to take what we don't need when they suffer so greatly?
Vegan for our Health
A plant-based diet is naturally high in fibre, vitamins and minerals and low in saturated fat and cholesterol.
We provide a means of social contact and exchange of information for new and existing vegans, such as sharing information and reviews on vegan products or services, to assist vegans, or potential vegans, in making ethical and healthy lifestyle choices. We also help to develop and maintain positive relationships with businesses and organisations sharing similar aims and encourage co-operation between vegans throughout New Zealand and the world!
