Our vision at Ōtepoti Collective Against Sexual Abuse (ŌCASA) is to generate community wellbeing through the prevention and elimination of sexual violence. Our organisation works tirelessly for survivors of sexual violence, their whānau, hoa, and for our wider community. We are a gender-diverse and inclusive organisation committed to bicultural practices and honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
ŌCASA provides free & confidential services to survivors of sexual violence of all genders in the form of support sessions, social work services, counselling services and crisis support including call outs and support with police, MEDSAC, and Courts processes.
We offer sexual violence prevention education to schools through our own programme and via ACC Mates & Dates. We also offer education, consultancy and support to community groups and local businesses around the topics of consent, bystander intervention, sexual violence prevention and responding to disclosures of sexual violence. We support hoa and whānau for their own well-being.
